Graduating high school students can now take their chance to pursue their career goals as SM Foundation Inc. (SMFI) opens its doors to aspiring scholars for the school year 2013 to 2014.
The SM College Scholarship Program offers a life-changing opportunity for incoming college students from public high schools to avail of the program’s educational, financial and even employment assistance.
From school expenses including tuition fees and books, SMFI provides support for the scholars’ other needs like their allowance, transportation, board and lodging. Qualified applicants are likewise entitled to take a four or a five-year degree course in 82 partner schools across the country.
The program also brings a holistic approach in priming tomorrow’s leaders through values formation activities and spiritual recollections. Moreover, it allows scholars to earn extra money through taking on part-time jobs in SM Supermalls, Department Stores, Hypermarkets and in other members of the SM Group of Companies (SMGC) during the summer, semestral and Christmas break.
Interested applicants may fill out the SM College Scholarship Application form available in all Customer Service Counters of SM Malls, Department Stores, Supermarket and Hypermarket and Save More. Application forms together with the other requirements must be submitted on or before December 20. For more inquiries, you may reach the SMFI Office at telephone numbers 02 831-8000 local 1494 to 1498.

Abanilla is among the 164 scholars who graduated in 2012 under the SMFI Scholarship Program. Led by SMGC owner, Mr. Henry Sy Sr., they were feted at a special dinner party held at the SMX Convention last May 30, 2012.
